For our Romanian asset portfolio, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Technical Asset Manager, specialized in the operation and maintenance of renewable energy projects. In this role, you will be in Romania and responsible for the technical asset management of our wind farm Ruginoasa (60 MW) and tree solar farms Glodeni (53 MW), Glodeni II (60 MW), Vacaresti (126 MW).
The role will involve monitoring and management of all asset O&M activities and close cooperation with the relevant stakeholders like service providers and local authorities. The Technical Asset Manager is responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the assets and compliance towards the local rules and regulations. The Technical Asset Manager shall act as the owner representative towards the service providers and monitor the performance of the contracted services regarding the Asset management, O&M of WTG’s, Substation, BOP and other outsourced services. The Technical Asset Manager shall monitor the performance KPI’s of the assets (HSE, quality, production, availability etc) and provide the performance reporting of the assets to the operations center.
The Technical Asset Manager shall be based in our Bucharest office and will work closely with the operations team. This is an on-site position, and regular presence at the Bucharest office is mandatory.
What you will do
- Support with the negotiation and drafting of all kinds of service contracts (wind, solar, BESS, substation, etc.).
- Monitoring of the technical operational KPI’s (production, technical availability, performance ratio, performance index, HSE, quality, etc.)) and follow up towards relevant service providers in case of nonperformance or non-conformities and implementation of performance & safety improvements.
- Monitor projects compliance regarding the local rules, grid code requirements, ATR and grid connection agreements, applicable regulations and relevant reporting obligations.
- Act as contact person towards local authorities and emergency services.
- Performing of site visits and evaluation of the service quality and safety performance.
- Act as Client representative towards the different service providers and have regular progress meetings with key service providers (Vestas, Monsson, Professional Guard, Eximprod, Energobit, etc).
- Monitor performance of O&M contracted services and management of all service contracts (Asset management, BoP, WTG, dispatch, others like snow removal, communications, roads maintenance, met masts, etc.).
- Reporting on performance KPIs, and approval of monthly availability reports with Vestas, Monsson and other service providers.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders for companies under supervision, and coordinate with relevant departments where needed.
- Provision of necessary inputs towards the finance team regarding OPEX.
- Help creating the budget for operational expenses; follow up approved OPEX budget.
- Collaborate with development team and provide technical expertise for projects under development.
What you bring
- +5 year experience in asset management and operation and maintenance of wind and solar assets.
- Proven experience in high-voltage operations—a mandatory requirement for this position
- ANRE Level IV certification would be a valuable advantage
- Advanced theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the industry (wind industry, solar industry, electrical modes, power quality, relay protection, power electronics, transients, etc.). Experience and confident understanding of the possible technical issues with the equipment of the assets, its remedies and influence on the KPI of the business (wind turbine level, solar field level, substation level, metering system level, IT and SCADA level).
- Proficiency in performance assessment of wind and solar assets operation and identification of the cause of the underperformance.
- Knowledge in vibration analysis of wind turbine using CMS system.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant local stakeholders and associated local rules and regulations related to the operation of wind and solar assets in Romania.
- Experienced in contract management and management of service providers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex operational data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, strong dispute skills.
- Analytical skills and experience in data analysis and its interpretation using the specific software and asset management tools (Excel, Python, MATLAB, DigSilent, Green Byte, etc.).
- Self-starter “whatever-it-takes” attitude, team player, flexible.
- Being able to speak and write fluently Romanian and English languages.
- Valid driver’s license B category.
- Valid GWO certificate.
